This custom skylight system provides the enclosure for the new Center for Sustained Urban Living studies building at Loyola University. The skylight system combines the use of insulated glazing for the enclosure of the interior building space and cantilevered laminated glass features along the edges of the undulating skylight surface. CSD provided structural engineering services for the skylight system which included the development of custom mullions for the specific project requirements. CSD also developed adjustable support brackets to connect the skylight framing to the round HSS members of the steel support structure.
