Jules Van de Pas joined CSD in 1988. He was promoted to Associate in 1994, Senior Associate in 1997, and Principal in 1998. Jules has worked primarily on the design of industrial and commercial building structures, and specialty structures. His industrial experience includes projects in the metals, mining, pharmaceutical, and food and beverage industry. He specializes in the design of steel structures particularly in high seismic applications. He also performs peer reviews and forensic investigations for failures and construction defects.
He has frequently lectured at national engineering conferences and at continuing education seminars for engineers on steel design and seismic design topics.
Jules enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and tennis.
