Mark Edwards joined CSD in 1999. He was promoted to Associate in 2006, Senior Associate in 2016 and Vice President in 2023. Mark has extensive experience in aluminum skylight design as well as glazing design including blast load analysis. He has worked on the design of structural steel commercial buildings and manufacturing facilities ranging from light industrial to heavy manufacturing. He has designed commercial and residential wood structures inclusive of custom wood components such as free standing helical and spiral wood stairs. He has experience designing and performing failure investigations for stainless steel structures primarily in the wastewater/filtration industry. He has performed failure investigations of roof systems, rack systems, wastewater equipment and has performed insurance claim damage investigations. He has developed engineering standards for multiple component manufacturers and provided research and development analysis inclusive of mock-up testing and limit state testing to aid product design.
Mark enjoys a variety of activities including family, running, cycling, hiking, Nordic skiing, strength training, dog training, fishing, hunting, watching documentaries, reading and volunteering for both charity and non-profit organizations.
