CSD has worked as the Specialty Structural Engineer on several projects involving spiral stairs, monumental stairs, and steel rails in Clark County, Nevada and in Las Vegas entertainment venues. These stair projects have a higher level of expectations for aesthetics that require specific coordination with Design Team and owner, and may also have stricter design criteria for serviceability or vibration. Also challenging were the unique geometry of the stairs and connections to existing structures, as well as seismic design requirements.
