CSD is proud to have worked as Specialty Structural Engineer on many professional and collegiate stadiums and arenas across the country. CSD provides delegated structural engineering design of egress stairs and associated rails, working in partnership with the steel fabricator to provide connection details and member sizes, conforming with the project design intent and IBC code conformance.

Because of the accelerated schedule for large scale projects, structural engineering for stairs and rails must begin before final architectural layout is complete. CSD prioritizes schedule-critical items to ensure that the fabricator can provide shop drawings and fabricated steel for just-in-time delivery. Coordination with the Design Team is critical to ensure that the general design intent and architectural layout can be maintained to suit standard steel stair geometry and connection details. CSD’s collaborative approach to projects such as these has resulted in high-performing structures nationwide.
